Liverpool could cut short summer signing Arthur’s loan spell in January with the Reds camp likely to search for another midfield player in the transfer market.
Arthur had joined Jurgen Klopp’s Reds on deadline day in a deal that surprised many with the Brazilian international arriving at Anfield to provide a short-term fix to the injury-stricken midfield ranks.
It is now said that Liverpool might move in for a more suitable midfield name to freshen their options in the engine room which has seen injury troubles for Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, and more recently, the skipper Jordan Henderson.
According to a report from the Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb, it is claimed that Liverpool will not be having second thoughts should they choose to terminate the loan agreement in January and send the player back to his parent club.
Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham has been linked with a move to Anfield time and again but it remains to be seen whether Liverpool step up their pursuit of the English talent as soon as the winter window opens.
