Liverpool could look to make an approach to sign Leicester City’s highly-rated playmaker James Maddison in the coming transfer windows.
Leicester have failed in their repeated attempts to tie Maddison down to extended terms and uncertainty looms over the England international’s future at the King Power Stadium beyond next summer.
According to a report from The Daily Express, it is claimed that the Merseyside giants would be amongst the host of clubs eyeing up Maddison’s coveted signature with Jurgen Klopp’s side credited with an ‘advantage’ in the chase.
The Leicester star has voiced praise for the famed atmosphere at Anfield in the recent past and comes from a family of Liverpool supporters which could tilt the scales in Liverpool’s favour should they step up their interest in the midfielder.
Klopp has long been on the search for much-needed reinforcements to add to his options in the centre of the park with summer recruit Arthur Melo, who arrived on deadline day, tipped to be a short-term fix for the Reds.
