Liverpool could miss out on securing the signature of Jurgen Klopp’s long-admired transfer target Jude Bellingham to arch rivals Manchester City.
Bellingham has been linked with a move to Anfield in the recent past with the Borussia Dortmund talent backed to make the move to the Premier League after earning rave reviews for his displays in Germany’s top flight.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, however, are not the only English heavyweight credited with an interest in moving in for the midfield maestro who also has the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea keeping close tabs on his situation.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, it is hinted that the Premier League champions Manchester City could emerge as the likely winners of the widely contested race to sign Bellingham with the Etihad camp holding initial talks to bring in the player.
There is a growing belief that Bellingham will decide to put pen-to-paper on a deal with Pep Guardiola’s side who enjoy a strong relationship with Dortmund after signing dangerman Erling Haaland last summer.
