Liverpool could make use of Borussia Dortmund’s interest in Naby Keita to sign long-standing transfer target Jude Bellingham as early as the January window.
Keita’s future at Anfield beyond next summer when his current terms are up for renewal has attracted much speculation of late with the midfielder linked with a move away from Merseyside.
According to a report from the German publication Bild, it is claimed that Dortmund are keeping close tabs on Keita’s contract situation and could be tempted to launch a bid for bringing the former RB Leipzig man back to the Bundesliga four years after his exit.
This will come as welcome news for Jurgen Klopp’s side who have long been credited with an interest in signing one of the hottest prospects in world football – Dortmund’s 19-year-old English sensation Jude Bellingham.
A midfield injury crisis in the Liverpool camp early on in the new season has seen the Reds fail to perform at their usual best and Klopp could look to sign Bellingham to bolster his engine room options midway through the campaign.
