Wolves will need to improve upon their offer for long-term target Divock Origi with Liverpool turning down their initial £10 million approach for the Belgian forward player.
Ekrem Konur claims that Liverpool have dismissed the opening offer that came their way from the Midlanders with Jurgen Klopp’s side firm on holding out for a £20 million payout to sanction Origi’s sale.
Origi has been heavily backed to call it quits at Anfield in this summer’s transfer window with the former Lille striker unable to cement a regular presence on the Liverpool teamsheet since the past couple of seasons.
With Liverpool on the lookout for attacking reinforcements of their own this summer, Origi’s exit could earn Klopp some more funds to use at his disposal in what remains of the current transfer window and induct some much-needed fresh blood into his squad.
Wolves are not the only club that have registered a strong interest in courting Origi’s services this summer with Serie A giants Napoli too keeping close tabs on the Belgium international who is now an outcast at Anfield.
