Liverpool have been drawn against Serie A giants Inter Milan in the Champions League Round of 16 following the redraw on Monday.
The Reds topped Group B in emphatic fashion with Jurgen Klopp’s men posting six wins out of as many games to become the first English side to record a 100% record in the group stages of the competition after the win over AC Milan earlier this week.
According to reports from the club’s official website, it now stands confirmed following Monday’s draw from UEFA’s headquarters in Switzerland that Liverpool will take on Inter Milan in the Last-16.
The first leg will be played away from home turf for the Merseysiders in the third week of February with the reverse leg at Anfield in the second week of March.
Austrian outfit RB Salzburg had earlier been announced as the Last-16 opponent for Jordan Henderson and Co. in the original draw but an error meant that event had to be restarted which meant a new side being pitted against Liverpool.
