Liverpool are expected to allow Naby Keita to leave over the summer as the manager Jurgen Klopp looks to revamp his engine room.
The Reds have endured a season of inconsistent and could find themselves in the market for a few new signings this summer with the club’s board certain to provide Klopp with the funds to bolster his squad.
A fresh pair of legs for the midfield is said to be a priority for the German coach but Klopp is not likely to push for retaining Naby Keita who is out of contract at Anfield come the end of the season and will be heading into free agency.
According to a report from BBC, Keita will surely not warrant a new long term deal on Merseyside from Liverpool who have been left unimpressed by the former RB Leipzig man’s displays on the pitch besides his recurring injury troubles.
The 28-year-old could be on the move soon with no shortage of clubs vying for his signature on a free transfer and Liverpool will be looking at other names in the market with England midfielder Jude Bellingham a top name on the wishlist.
