Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi enjoyed a brilliant European Championships campaign with the Azzuri who ran out deserved winners in the Wembley showdown finale against England.
Berardi was one of the star turns for Roberto Mancini’s Italy at this summer’s mega-event and the winger seems to have sparked off a transfer war between some of Europe’s biggest clubs for his signature.
Liverpool had been reported to be in the mix for the Serie A wide player with Jurgen Klopp understood to be keen on inducting fresh blood into his frontline which can lose out on Xherdan Shaqiri if Lazio come calling on the Merseysiders for the Swiss international.
