As per the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are intensifying its interest in Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi as they aim to strengthen their centre-back options.
Jurgen Klopp’s team has made impressive signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. After seemingly withdrawing from the pursuit of Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, Klopp has now shifted his focus to acquiring a defender for the club.
Liverpool, who conceded the highest number of goals among the top five teams last season (47), are keen on strengthening their defensive options. They are now prepared to compete for the signing of Crystal Palace’s Guehi.
In addition to Liverpool, other clubs such as Newcastle, Arsenal, and Tottenham have also been linked with a potential move for the 22-year-old defender.

Guehi is a highly sought-after player who would be a valuable addition to any of the interested clubs. However, Crystal Palace have reportedly set a high valuation of “in excess of £60 million” for the defender, which may deter some potential suitors.
Guehi has demonstrated his quality over two successful seasons at Selhurst Park and has earned a spot in the England national team, further enhancing his market value.
Crystal Palace are under no pressure to sell one of their prized assets, as Guehi is contracted until 2026, granting them a strong position to negotiate his price.

While Liverpool have shown long-term interest in Guehi, it remains uncertain whether they would be willing to meet the £60 million valuation for the defender.
