Liverpool face a challenge from domestic rivals Manchester United to sign AC Milan’s contract rebel Franck Kessie next summer on a free transfer.
Kessie, the Ivory Coast international midfield man, has his stay at the San Siro coming to a close in less than ten months and a host of Premier League clubs have been alerted to his situation in the transfer market.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are among those keeping close tabs on the 24-year-old midfielder who has established his credentials as one of the top players in his position in the Serie A while turning out for AC Milan.
Reports from Larazon ( via The Daily Express) claim that Liverpool could be lured into offloading Thiago Alcantara, last summer’s marquee arrival at Anfield, as a makeweight for landing Kessie and fend off the increasing competition from Premier League foes Manchester United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s camp have also long prioritised a move for a midfielder in the market and failing to sign one this summer, the Old Trafford giants will be backed to chase the AC Milan man Kessie come next year.
