It has been speculated that the Merseysiders hold a strong interest in the wide man on the back of his exploits in the Portuguese top flight that has earned him rave reviews.
Rumours suggest an early exit from the coveted Champions League for Porto could provide an opening for the Anfield camp to touch base and launch a bid for Diaz’s signature in the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old Diaz has recorded 16 goal contributions in 22 outings so far in this campaign which has led to Liverpool’s interest in securing his services with the likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Juventus also keeping close tabs.
