According to the latest reports, Premier League side Liverpool are set to beat rivals Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Christian Pulisic in the January transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool currently sits second on the Premier League table and have had a great start to the new campaign as they sit just two points behind leaders Manchester City. The Reds are yet to hit their top form this term even though they are still unbeaten in the league and suffered a loss to Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League during their midweek encounter.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is well aware that he needs to bolster his attacking line in order to challenge for silverware and has his sights set on Borussia Dortmund wonder kid Christian Pulisic. But Liverpool aren’t the only club that has an admiration for the 20-year-old star forward as Chelsea are also keen on adding a goalscoring forward in their ranks.
Along with Chelsea and Liverpool, Manchester United are the latest club to have joined the race to sign Pulisic in the winter transfer window after the American has reportedly informed his teammates that his next preferred destination is England.
Although Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Daniel Sturridge, Xherdan Shaqiri and Roberto Firmino will provide a stiff starting berth for Pulisic, Klopp is a big fan of the quick forward and wants to lure him to Anfield.
The recent reports claim that Liverpool is in the process of making a £67 million bid to Dortmund for Pulisic’s services in the January transfer window, which could beat rivals Manchester United and Chelsea to the attacker.
Liverpool will certainly benefit and strengthen their attacking prowess with the signature of Pulisic in January. But the issue will be convincing Borussia Dortmund to sell as the German outfit are sitting first on the Bundesliga table this season and may need Pulisic at crucial intervals.
