Liverpool FC make contact with Wolves over summer move for Adama Traore

Liverpool FC have reportedly contacted Wolves for the purpose of signing Adama Traore. The Spanish winger has been one of the most influential players in the Wolves squad of late and has been linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks.

After missing out the transfer of Timo Werner, who has since then joined Chelsea FC, Jurgen Klopp is in the market for a new attacking option for his side. Klopp is looking to sign an attacker who is as competent as the current front three for the Reds.

According to recent reports, Liverpool FC have been considered the frontrunners in the race to sign Traore. The 24 year old winger has been reluctant to extend his stay at Molineux beyond the current season. Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has stated in the past that he is unaware about Traore’s desire of leaving the Premier League side.

Klopp has confirmed that the Reds would not be making any major splash in the transfer market. However, it is known that in order to compete with the likes of Manchester City FC and Chelsea FC, Klopp would need to bolster his squad ahead of the start of next season.

The German coach has praised Traore in the past after Liverpool FC’s Premier League encounter with Wolves. Klopp had labelled the Spanish winger as ‘unplayable’ on that day due to Traore being fantastic on the right flank. The player had given the Reds left-back Andy Robertson a hard time with his rapid pace and superb dribbling.

However, the only concern regarding Traore’s possible switch to Liverpool FC is the price that Wolves will ask in order to let their star player depart the club. Reports suggest that a price-tag of £75million has been put on the player’s head by The Wanderers. Such an asking amount will be considered rather hefty by the Liverpool FC management.

If Traore does move to Anfield next season, he would be a brilliant addition to the already formidable attacking options present at Liverpool FC. Mohammad Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino have established themselves to be one of the greatest attacking trios in modern-day football.

However, Traore’s presence would enable Jurgen Klopp’s side to be more ruthless in front of goal and attempt to defend their Premier League crown. Also, Klopp would be hoping to aim for the historic treble with his Liverpool FC  squad next season.
