Liverpool Fear Jurgen Klopp May Leave After Stalling Contract Talks

The latest reports claim that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has not been willing to discuss a contract extension with the Fenway Sports Group owners following the wake of their Champions League triumph last month.

The Liverpool owners will be extremely happy with the way Jurgen Klopp has built this monster of a team. The Reds endured their most successful campaign ever in the history of the club as they recorded a staggering 97 points but still finished in second place on the Premier league table, just one solitary point behind Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

But Liverpool managed to taste success on the continental stage as they brought back the European Cup to Anfield for the sixth time in the club’s illustrious history.

The German manager currently earns around £7 million a year and a new deal will see him earn another £3 million. But reports claim that Klopp is not yet ready to discuss a six-year deal that the FSG owners are willing to table to tie down the 52-year-old at Anfield for the foreseeable future.

Klopp is more worried about his health than the revenue and stress that comes with the Liverpool job and therefore, he is stalling on a contract extension with the club.

At the end of 2022, when his current Liverpool contract expires, Klopp will complete seven years at the helm for Liverpool but not signing the contract will make some of the Anfield faithful slightly anxious.

There are other big jobs available and Klopp is in demand because of his nature and work ethics.
