Liverpool full-back Neco Williams agrees upon personal terms with Nottingham Forest

Liverpool full-back Neco Williams has agreed on personal terms with Nottingham Forest which could pave the way for the defender out the Anfield exit door this summer.

Williams has been heavily linked with a move away from Merseyside before the start of the new campaign with the Wales international deemed surplus to requirements by the Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds have used the summer window to sign 18-year-old Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen and the teenage right-back’s recruitments signs that the youngster would be the one deputising for Trent Alexander-Arnold on the Liverpool team sheet.

According to a claim from Football Insider, the 21-year-old Welshman Williams is keen to join the new boys in England’s top flight Nottingham Forest and has given his approval to the club despite Liverpool holding out for an increased asking price.

A stumbling block to Williams making the move to Forest this summer remains Liverpool’s £15 million price-tag on the defender’s head with Forrest’s opening bid, believed to be in the region of £12 million, quick to be shot down by the Anfield camp.
