Liverpool have been given the price-tag to sign Flamengo midfielder Joao Gomes who has been a long-standing name on Jurgen Klopp’s shopping list.
The 21-year-old Brazilian midfield player has impressed some of the biggest clubs across the continent and Liverpool are one of his big-name suitors with Klopp looking to bolster his options in the centre of the park.
According to claim by the Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola ( via CaughtOffside), Flamengo have slapped a £28 million price tag on their starlet’s head amid Liverpool’s rumored interest in moving in for his signature.
Klopp is on the hunt for reinforcements to overhaul his engine room roster with Liverpool likely to part ways with both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita upon the expiry of their deals come next summer.
There is also uncertainty over James Milner’s future at Anfield as well beyond the end of the campaign with the ageing midfielder’s terms set to end in the summer alongside Chamberlain and Keita.
