18-year-old Brazillian starlet Daniel Cabral has caught Liverpool FC’s eye and the Merseyside Reds intend to pursue their interest in the midfielder with full passion despite a host of other clubs in the mix to sign the youngster.
According to reports from the SportWitness, Cabral has courted considerable interest from as many as 17 clubs across Europe, with Manchester United and Chelsea also speculated to be keen on making a move for the Flamengo man.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have been relatively quiet in the ongoing January transfer window in spite of a large outcry for the Anfield giants to splash the cash on bringing in additional defensive reinforcements owing to the majority of first-team regulars sidelined due to long-term injury layoffs.
Cabral’s arrival at Anfield could see the light of the day only in the summer if reports are to be believed, as Klopp has been adamant on Liverpool FC’s inability to sign new players this January as a result of the financial impact brought on about by COVID-19.
Gini Wijnaldum’s largely unresolved future in the Reds shirt beyond this summer gives the Liverpool FC boss an option to add to his midfield alternatives should he give the nod to the Merseysiders entering into formal talks with Flamengo for Cabral’s signature.
