Liverpool goalkeeper set to join Greek side on loan?

21-year old shot-stopper Kamil Grabara is likely to be offloaded by Liverpool FC this summer, according to reports, with interest in the Polish youngster coming in from PAOK.

The goalkeeper signed a long-term contract extension with the Merseyside giants last summer before departing on a season-long loan to Huddersfield Town. Grabara featured in 28 games for the Championship side during his loan spell, which was abruptly cut short due to a severe head injury.

However, the player has since then returned to link up with the Liverpool FC squad and has trained with his teammates for the past couple of months. But Grabara’s future in Klopp’s squad looks increasingly uncertain by the day as the 21-year old is not seen as a prospective first-team player for the Premier League champions.

PAOK are reportedly interested in making a loan approach for the Reds’ shot-stopper. Liverpool FC could be tempted to include a clause citing an obligation to buy the player in a season-long loan deal for Grabara to sell the Poland U21 international on a permanent basis next summer.

Moreover, with the return of Loris Karius from a rather long loan spell at Besiktas, the disgraced German goalkeeper will be third in the pecking order at Anfield behind the likes of Alisson and Adrian. As a result, playing opportunities will be particularly hard to come by for the young Grabara in the upcoming 2020-21 season.
