Liverpool have a strong interest in signing Watford winger Ismaila Sarr at the turn of the year when the transfer window reopens, according to reports from Italian news outlet Calciomercato.
The Senegal international has long been linked with a move to Anfield where has an admirer in the Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp who has been keeping tabs on his situation at Watford since the summer of 2020.
With Klopp understood to be scouting the transfer market for reinforcements in attack to add depth to his forward lineup, Sarr is a top name on the shopping list for the German manager.
Liverpool could be willing to identify Sarr as their priority target instead of another longstanding name on the Anfield wishlist in Leeds United wide man Raphinha who too has been a sensation since his arrival in the Premier League.
Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane will be due to miss a crunch period come January owing to the AFCON and the pressure will be on Klopp to bring in fresh blood for his attacking roster as Liverpool compete for trophies this season.
