Liverpool hero Divock Origi has reportedly entered the final stages of his contract agreement with AC Milan ahead of a summer switch.
It is understood that the Belgium international striker is now one step away from finalising terms on a move to San Siro with contract talks at an advanced stage, according to a report from the Italian outlet Sempre Milan.
Origi had no shortage of suitors in the transfer market heading into this coming summer with his stay at Anfield set to end amid no outreach from the Liverpool camp to table an extension for the forward.
The likes of Burnley, Atalanta and Fiorentina had been credited with an interest in the striker’s signature but it is the Serie A league leaders AC Milan who are in pole position to land Origi from the Liverpool fold.
He would be in line to pocket a salary of €4 million per year with AC Milan’s hunt for much-needed reinforcements in the final third of the pitch likely to come to a close following Origi’s capture.
