Liverpool hold a strong interest in signing PSV’s dangerman Cody Gakpo

Liverpool hold a strong interest in signing PSV’s dangerman Cody Gakpo ahead of the coming summer with Jurgen Klopp keen to bolster his ranks in the final third of the pitch.

The German coach added Columbia international Luis Diaz to the Anfield roster in the January transfer window earlier this year but could find himself in the market once again to bring in fresh reinforcements.

A report from The Atheltic has claimed that Liverpool are one amongst a host of Europe’s biggest clubs who are keeping tabs on the in-form PSV wide player Cody Gakpo with the Merseysiders mulling over launching a bid for their new target.

With 16 goals in 36 matches in all competitions, Gakpo has earned rave reviews for his stellar run of displays in the Dutch top flight and has caught the eye of the likes of Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Liverpool.

A sizable £35 million is what PSV are looking to pocket from their likely sale of the 22-year-old Gakpo in the summer with Liverpool not expected to be put away by the asking price for one of the top attacking talents in club football.
