Liverpool hold productive talks with Bayern Munich to star Ryan Gravenberch

Liverpool have engaged in positive discussions with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich regarding midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old is said to be Liverpool’s primary target, and they are actively pursuing his signing. Gravenberch is open to leaving Bayern after facing limited playing time since his transfer last summer.

During his debut season in Germany, following his £21 million move from Ajax, the midfielder started only three Bundesliga matches.

The Dutch star struggled to secure a regular starting position under both Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel. In Bayern’s two matches this season, he has yet to see any playing time.

A move to Liverpool could be highly beneficial for Gravenberch, given his evident talent, but he needs a manager who has faith in him.

Jurgen Klopp might be the one to provide him with a fresh start. He is interested in having Gravenberch join the midfield alongside summer signings Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister, and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Liverpool are considering both Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich and Cheick Doucoure from Crystal Palace to bolster their midfield.

The Dutch star has struggled to secure a regular starting spot in Bayern and could benefit from a change, with Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp potentially offering him a fresh opportunity.

Meanwhile, Doucoure made a significant impact in the holding midfield position during his first season with Palace after arriving from Lens for £22 million.

Palace are expected to demand a substantial fee for the 23-year-old, who still has four years remaining on his contract.

Liverpool are in need of a holding midfielder following the departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho this summer. They also missed out on high-profile moves for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia to Chelsea.
