Liverpool are reportedly hoping to delay the departure of key players Salah, Mane and Keita for AFCON which is set to be held in January and could play spoilsport to Liverpool’s commitments.
The Reds first-team trio are set for international duty in the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations and are in line to miss as many as eight crucial outings for Jurgen Klopp’s side following the turn of the year.

With Klopp already reeling with a lack of viable options within his ranks in the midfield and attacking departments, the Liverpool manager is backed to stand his ground on releasing his players later for the tournament.
Reports from The Daily Mirror claim that Liverpool are in line to hold talks with the Senegal, Egypt and Guinea national team camps to ask for Mane, Salah and Keita to be released in January rather than the backend of December.
Salah and Mane remain Liverpool’s star figures up top on the pitch with Klopp only having the likes of Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota to deputise in the attacking roles with depth limited in that department.
