Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio has emerged on Liverpool’s transfer radar for this summer with the Spain international subject to much interest from clubs across England.
Reports from El Gol Digital suggest that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are joined by North London duo Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the fray to land Asensio’s signature this summer before the transfer window slams shut.
With Klopp sanctioning the sale of fringe Liverpool first-teamer Harry Wilson to Championship outfit Fulham and as doubts remain over Xherdan Shaqiri’s future on Merseyside, the Liverpool boss has been backed to bring in fresh blood for his attacking department.
A €40 million bid is rumoured to be the fees that will convince Real Madrid on parting ways with the 25-year-old Asensio with Arsenal and Liverpool poised to battle it out for signing the Spanish playmaking talent.
Asensio is not the first player from the Real Madrid camp who has been linked with a summer switch to Anfield in recent weeks with the player’s club and country teammate Isco also subject to strong interest from Jurgen Klopp and Co.
