Liverpool are in line to table a €40 million bid for Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans with Jurgen Klopp looking to bolster his midfield roster.
The Belgium international Tielemans has emerged on the radar at Anfield in the past and into his final 18 months of contract in the Foxes shirt, Liverpool are leading the race for the midfielder’s signature.
According to reports from the Spanish news outlet El Nacional, it is claimed that the Reds camp are prepared to launch a €40 million offer with Leicester City resigned to cashing in on their star first-team player following the long drawn out contract standoff.
Gini Wijnaldum’s exit from the Liverpool fold last summer to make the move to PSG had upped the pressure on Klopp to bring in a new signing to add to his midfield options but the German delayed his plans for the forthcoming transfer windows.
Tielemans’ availability in the near future for a cut-price fee could sway Liverpool in opening their purse strings after making only one new addition to the ranks last summer in the form of Ibrahima Konate.
