Liverpool are reportedly right in the fray for Atletico Madrid’s wonderkid Joao Felix who could be on his way out of the club come January, according to reports from Spanish news outlet Fichajes.
Felix had sealed a mega-money move to Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2019 from SL Benfica where had come up through the ranks and made a name for himself as one of the top young talents in world football.
Life in the La Liga has not been smooth sailing for the 21-year-old Portugal international, however, and speculation is rife that Atletico boss Diego Simeone could be willing to part ways with his attacking asset in the forthcoming winter transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are being billed as one of the favourites to land Felix’s signature with the lack of depth in the forward roles at Anfield having been well-documented in the recent past.
Klopp has been rumoured to be on the search for reinforcements in the transfer market since the summer as he had brought in the only fresh face in centre-back Ibrahima Konate before the new campaign got underway.
