Liverpool FC are facing a race against time to finalise the permanent signing of Ozan Kabak with Jurgen Klopp’s side understood to be in line to offer an extended stay to the on-loan Turkish central defender.
Reports from Fussball Transfers claim that the Merseysiders are due an end-May deadline to meet the €20 million buy-out clause and sign the 22-year-old Kabak on a permanent basis.
Since arriving at Anfield in the January transfer window earlier this year Kabak has firmly established himself to be in Klopp’s first-team plans largely due to the limited options at the Liverpool FC boss’ disposal coupled with the youngster forming a solid pairing alongside Nat Phillips.
Liverpool FC’s interest in capturing the Turk beyond the summer comes despite recent reports stating the reigning Premier League holders wanting to bring in another centre-back to Anfield in the form of RB Leipzig first-teamer Ibrahima Konaté.
The France international has been a consistent performer for the Bundesliga side in spite of his recurring injury issues and is understood to be a priority target for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool FC heading into this summer’s window.
