Liverpool have been credited with a strong interest in making a move for Leeds United No.1 Illan Meslier who has caught the eye at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s camp are linked with some of Leeds United’s biggest names on the teamsheet including the likes of defensive midfielder Kalvin Phillips and Brazilian forward Raphinha, both players who have been star turns for Marcelo Bielsa’s Whites.
Reports from Football Insider claim that the new name on the shopping list for the Reds is the 21-year-old Meslier who has been a major figure between the sticks at Elland Road since his move to West Yorkshire in the summer of 2019.
The Frenchman has earned rave reviews for his consistent set of displays and that could be his ticket to a move to Anfield with Liverpool rumoured to be keeping tabs on his situation ahead of opening formal talks with Leeds United.
Meslier could prove to be a viable addition to the Liverpool ranks who do not boast of the most inspiring depth in the goalkeeping pecking order barring the first-choice option in Alisson Becker.
