Liverpool have reportedly joined the widely contested race to sign the highly-promising FC Dallas and USMNT forward Ricardo Pepi.
According to reports from CBS Sport, Jurgen Klopp’s side have entered the mix alongside the likes of Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax with the hopes of landing the teenage talent from MLS outfit FC Dallas.
It is understood that the player has reached on personal terms with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg but FC Dallas are likely to hold out on accepting any offer from the Germans with a sizable bid likely to come their way from the other suitors in the market.
Jurgen Klopp has long been linked with dipping into the market to bring in reinforcements for his attacking roster which does not boast of significant strength besides the Mane-Salah-Firmino combine and last summer’s recruit Diogo Jota.
The 18-year-old Pepi has scored 13 goals in 27 outings so far this campaign and has replicated his club form for the American national team as well with three goals in four games.
