Liverpool FC are reportedly monitoring the situation of Real Madrid centre-back Nacho Fernandez as the Spaniard’s current deal with the Bernabeu outfit comes to a close next season.
The 31-year-old defender is yet to open contract talks with the La Liga giants and reports from AS claim that Jurgen Klopp would be keen on bringing Fernandez to Anfield this summer.
It is no secret that the Reds gaffer has been on the hunt for additional reinforcements in the defensive sector of the pitch and despite acquiring two fresh faces on deadline day in the January window, Klopp is believed to be wanting to add another experienced name to his squad.
Moreover, Liverpool FC are yet to decide upon Ozan Kabak’s long-term future at Anfield as the Turkish international signed for a short-term loan with an option to buy should Klopp deem the youngster a suitable addition on Merseyside.
Liverpool FC are not alone in the race to land the signature of the Real Madrid first-teamer with Juventus and AS Roma also understood to have registered their interest in the Spain international ahead of the summer window.
