Liverpool are understood to be keeping close tabs on Napoli starlet Khvicha Kvaratskhelia following his breakthrough with the Serie A giants this season.
According to a report from Goal, it is claimed that Liverpool are joined by the European champions Real Madrid in the chase for the 21-year-old winger who has impressed many with his showings in the Napoli shirt.
The Merseysiders are expected to dip into the market in the forthcoming transfer windows for new signings on the back of a disappointing start to the season which sees them sit tenth in the league table ahead of a meeting with Manchester City.
Midfield reinforcement, however, will be a top priority for the Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp whose deadline day signing in Arthur Melo is sidelined until after the New Year and is yet to make his debut outing for his new side.
The Brazilian will most likely be going back to his parent club Juventus at the end of his loan spell with Liverpool looking to bring in a big-name signing amid rumours of Klopp’s interest in moving in for the Dortmund talent Jude Bellingham.
