Liverpool are reportedly lagging behind Inter Milan in the widely contested race to land Gleison Bremer from Torino this coming summer.
The central defender has emerged as a top target for some of the biggest clubs across Europe on the back of his fine run of showings in Italy’s top flight for Torino earning him plaudits.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are suggested to be keeping close tabs on the Seria A defensive talent as well, according to a report from Goal, which claims that the uncertainty around Joe Gomez’s Anfield future has made Bremer key to Liverpool’s plans for the summer.
Gomez is tipped to demand a move elsewhere ahead of the start of the next season following the England international’s fall down the pecking order at Liverpool which could force Klopp to dip into the market for a replacement signing.
Landing Bremer, however, could pose to be a stern challenge for the Anfield camp with the Italian giants Inter Milan leading the race for the Brazilian defender who is valued at €25 million.
