Liverpool are claimed to be leading the race to sign RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi with a January swoop expected to be on the cards for the Germany international starlet.
Adeyemi has emerged on the radar of the Merseysiders with the boss Jurgen Klopp understood to be keen on adding to his attacking options after missing out on his target names in this summer’s transfer window.
According to reports from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, it is suggested that Harvey Elliott’s gruesome injury over the weekend against Leeds United which is set to sideline the 18-year-old for the next 4-6 months could hasten Liverpool’s approach for the Salzburg ace Adeyemi.
The German has been a major presence for the Austrian outfit in the final third of the pitch and has found the back of the net six times in just seven outings this new season, alerting some of Europe’s biggest clubs to his talents.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, however, are backed to be the frontrunners for his signature with the German coach set to bolster his squad depth on Merseyside after yet another long-term injury trouble.
