Real Madrid are looking to pip Liverpool to the signing of midfielder Jude Bellingham in a potential second blow on the transfer front for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The Spanish champions had beaten the Merseysiders for the signature of AS Monaco midfield maestro Aurelien Tchouameni with the Frenchman deciding to make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu over Anfield.
According to a report from the Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, it is claimed that Real Madrid had informed Borussia Dortmund of their interest in bringing in the England international talent Bellingham during talks for Erling Haaland.
Dortmund had conveyed their decision to the Champions League holders of retaining Bellingham beyond this summer’s transfer window in the aftermath of parting ways with talisman Haaland who has since joined Manchester City.
Real are fretting over the possibility of forking out a higher fee for the Dortmund starlet Bellingham whose stock is backed to rise in the coming years after his superb breakthrough for both club and country.
