Liverpool are said to be looking to move in for Bayern Munich’s unsettled star Serge Gnabry who has been involved in a contract stand-off with the German giants.
Gnabry has 12 months left on his current deal at Bayern and the Germany international winger wants to push for an exit this summer much to the displeasure of the club.
According to a report from The Daily Express, Bayern could be taking a no-nonsense approach to the player’s situation by freezing the 26-year-old from the first-team for a whole year which has not gone down well with Gnabry.
The turn of events could complicate matters on the transfer front for Gnabry’s long-standing suitors Liverpool who have identified the ex-Arsenal man as a viable replacement for the outgoing Sadio Mane.
With Roberto Firmino’s future subject to intense speculation as of late amid Juventus showing an interest in the Brazilian, Jurgen Klopp will be hoping for smooth sailing to land Gnabry after already holding conversations with his representatives.
