According to the French outlet L’Equipe, Liverpool may enter the race to sign PSG star Marco Verratti during this summer’s transfer window, alongside Manchester United.
Verratti has been at PSG since 2012, after joining from Pescara, and has established himself as one of the world’s finest midfielders during his time in the French capital.
However, despite his impressive performances for PSG, he, along with players like Lionel Messi and Neymar, faced criticism from PSG fans due to their repeated failures in European competitions last season.
In recent weeks, there has been ongoing speculation about Verratti’s future, with suggestions that he might consider leaving PSG during this transfer window. Man United have been previously linked with a move for the 30-year-old midfielder to bolster their midfield.
Now, according to L’Equipe, Liverpool are also rumoured to be interested in joining the race to sign Verratti if he decides to leave PSG in the coming weeks.

Both Premier League clubs are reportedly keeping an eye on the situation and could potentially make a move for the talented midfielder.
The future of Verratti at PSG has sparked interest from both United and Liverpool. Valued at around £34 million by Transfermarkt, the midfielder still has three years left on his current contract, suggesting PSG will demand a substantial fee for his sale this summer.
United, who recently acquired Mason Mount, are reportedly planning to strengthen their midfield further and have been linked with Sofyan Amrabat. However, Verratti is also said to be on their radar.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are prioritizing a revamp of their midfield and has already made two midfield signings. The Reds are looking for a perfect replacement for Jordan Henderson who is looking to move to Saudi Arabia.
