Liverpool nearing completion of transfer approach for Jamal Lewis

Liverpool FC have reportedly made a breakthrough in their pursuit for Norwich City full-back Jamal Lewis. The Canaries have are hoping to receive a £10 million offer for their first-team left-back.

The Reds have expressed keen interest in securing a deal for the 22-year old Lewis this summer. With Andy Robertson being the only natural left-back in Jurgen Klopp’s squad, there is a major lack of cover in that position for the Scottish international.

Making the move for Lewis seems to be a smart decision on Liverpool FC’s behalf. The Northern Ireland international has still a long way to go in his playing career considering his young age. Moreover, he played as many as 28 games in the Premier League last season for Norwich City, who were ultimately relegated to the Championship.

The Merseyside club’s manager Jurgen Klopp is believed to be an admirer of the young wingback and is hoping to finalize a transfer approach for the Canaries defender ahead of next season.

Besides looking at Lewis as an ideal signing to improve squad depth, Llyod Kelly is also on the Reds’ radar. The Bournemouth left-back has been identified as a possible addition to the Liverpool FC first-team squad this summer.
