Liverpool are reportedly open to offer star forward Mohamed Salah a major wage bump for the Egyptian to put pen to paper on a new deal at Anfield.
Salah’s long-term future on Merseyside has become the subject of much speculation since the turn of the year with Real Madrid keeping tabs on the former AS Roma man and pondering over a potential swoop for his signature.
The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp, however, has played down concerns over Salah’s contract situation at Anfield with the German insisting that the club’s board was working hard to tie down Liverpool’s mainstay to a new long-term extension.
Reports from Football Insider have suggested that Liverpool are now open to offer the 29-year-old Salah a £350,000 per week wage to convince him to commit his future in the Reds shirt and fend off interest from elsewhere in his services.
Should Salah pen extended terms with Liverpool beyond the summer of 2023, the Egypt international will be in line to become their top earner ahead of the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker.
