Liverpool Given Permission To Sign Real Madrid Midfielder

The latest reports have claimed that Jurgen Klopp has given the transfer board the green light to negotiate a deal for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos in the summer transfer window.

Despite their most successful season in the Premier League, Liverpool finished in 2nd place on the League table, just one point behind Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. Although the Reds managed to taste success on the continental stage, Klopp wants to end the 30-year drought for Liverpool to win the Premiership by dethroning Manchester City.

In order to bolster his squad even further, the German manager is looking to sign a new dynamic midfielder in the form of Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old Spanish midfielder was the key member for his national team as they won the U-21 Euro but Ceballos has struggled for regular football at the Santiago Bernabeu under Zinedine Zidane. Ceballos managed just 12 appearances for Real Madrid and scored three goals in the process and the French boss has hinted that he will not be in his long term plans.

Ceballos might not get a starting berth at Liverpool either considering the options that Klopp has at his disposal but the 52-year-old Liverpool boss is a huge admirer of the midfielder.

The Los Blancos are willing to sell Ceballos at a transfer fee of around €50 million on a permanent basis and there are plenty of suitors for the former Real Betis star as Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, West Ham United and Chelsea are looking to snap him up in the summer.

But Merseyside club Liverpool is reportedly winning the race to sign the young and talented midfielder as Klopp has given his transfer board the green light for Ceballos’ arrival at Anfield.
