The latest reports have claimed that Premier League side Liverpool are keen on signing Red Bull Leipzig superstar Timo Werner in the upcoming summer transfer window to bolster their attacking options even further.
Liverpool has enjoyed quite a stellar campaign so far in the Premier League winning 24 out of their 25 games still without defeat in the English top flight. It seems to be quite real now that the Reds will be ending their 30-year-wait for a title as they sit 22 points clear at the summit ahead of 2nd placed Manchester City.
However, Klopp will face a difficult task next season as the Merseyside giants will lose a few star players in the form of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah due to the African Cup Of Nations which will be held in January until February.
The two African forwards have played an instrumental role in the success of the Reds over the past few seasons and Klopp will have to make up for their absence by heading into the summer transfer market to sign a backup attacker who can keep up the momentum and frequent goalscoring.
One player who is catching plenty of attraction from several clubs across the European continent is Red Bull Leipzig attacker Timo Werner. The German goalscorer is bagging goals for fun at the moment netting 25 goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances this term.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been urged to sign a prolific forward and Werner could be the ideal player that fits the bill following an impressive campaign with Leipzig. However, there will be a few other top clubs in the continent that are interested in his services but Liverpool would be able to attract him to the direction in which the club is heading towards.
