Liverpool plotting to strike cut-price deal to sign Atletico midfielder Marcos Llorente

Liverpool are plotting to strike a cut-price deal to sign Atletico midfielder Marcos Llorente who could be made available for just £35 million.

The Merseysiders have been linked with a move for the Spain international in the past and with Jurgen Klopp’s side enduring a shaky start to the season, the fans would certainly want their side to dip into the market for much-needed reinforcements.

Midfield has been a source of concern for the Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp who has lost the likes of Arthur Melo and Naby Keita to long-term injuries while there is pressure on him to freshen up an aging roster at Anfield.

According to a claim from the Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo ( via The Daily Express), it is hinted that Atletico are open to parting ways with Llorente who has not met expectations at the club with his showings so far in the campaign.

Llorente’s name is likely to be one that would be considered by Klopp for his shopping list ahead of the winter transfer window that opens in the New Year and provides the German with an opportunity to bolster his ranks.
