Liverpool prepare €35 million bid for Juventus star Federico Chiesa

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to make a €35 million bid for Juventus star Federico Chiesa in the current transfer window, as stated by Calcio Mercato Web.

Liverpool remains determined to pursue their transfer plans despite their disappointing fifth-place finish in the Premier League.

The club has a reputation for seeking good deals and avoiding excessive fees for their targets. Juventus are ready to consider Liverpool’s offer for the 25-year-old Italian international.

The Reds have a track record of securing deals for players at prices lower than initially reported by the media. Recent examples include Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz.

The club also managed to sign Alexis Mac Allister for around £35 million, significantly less than the previously suggested price of over £70 million.

The club is preparing a €35 million bid for Chiesa, and Juventus is said to be considering a potential sale if the conditions are favorable.

The Italian giants had a challenging season that ended without winning any trophies and a significant 10-point deduction.

As a result, they finished in 7th place, which guarantees them a spot in the Conference League for the upcoming season.

As Juventus faces financial difficulties, they may consider selling some of their valuable assets, including Gleison Bremer, Dusan Vlahovic, and Federico Chiesa.

Reports suggest that while the Seria A outfit paid more than €35 million to acquire Chiesa, they have already amortized his contract. Therefore, selling the Italian star could yield better capital gains compared to Bremer or Vlahovic.

There is huge interest in Vlahovic, with several elite clubs vying for the Serbian’s signature. However, if Juventus decides to make a major sale for financial reasons, Chiesa seems more likely.

Liverpool’s interest in Chiesa is not new, as they have been monitoring the winger for some time. Manager Jurgen Klopp will see it as an opportunity rather than a pressing requirement.

Currently, the Reds’ primary focus is on bolstering their midfield following the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister. Given the strength of Liverpool’s attacking options, Chiesa’s acquisition would be seen as a luxury rather than a necessity.
