Liverpool preparing big-money offer for Real Madrid midfield man Fede Valverde

Liverpool are reportedly in the running to launch a big-money offer for Real Madrid midfield man Fede Valverde in the next summer window.

Jurgen Klopp’s search for a fresh face in the centre of the park has been underway since the summer when the Liverpool boss parted ways with his long-serving midfield general Gini Wijnaldum but decided to delay plans of making an emergency signing.

With the future of the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita subject to uncertainty beyond the end of the season, the Anfield camp will look to scout the market for reinforcements.

According to reports from the Spanish news outlet El Nacional, it is claimed that the Uruguayan international Valverde is on Liverpool’s wishlist for the near future despite Real Madrid valuing the 23-year-old at a sizable £58.8million.

The midfielder has failed to cement a regular spot under Carlo Ancelotti’s charge in the Spanish capital with Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Casemiro ahead of Valverde in the pecking order.
