Liverpool have made their interest known in making a swoop for the highly-promising FC Barcelona midfield starlet Gavi in the forthcoming transfer windows.
There has been a limited depth in the midfield department for the boss Jurgen Klopp to choose from following the exit of Gini Wijnaldum, the long-serving anchorman for the Reds, in the summer to sign for Paris Saint-Germain.
Reports from the Spanish news outlet El Nacional have suggested that the teenage midfield talent Gavi is the latest name to have emerged on the transfer radar at Anfield despite his sizable €50 million valuation in the market.
Gavi became the youngest player to feature for the Spain national team in the recent fixture against Italy and the 17-year-old is tipped for a bright future for both club and country on the back of his displays in the middle of the pitch.
Jurgen Klopp has always kept an eye out for young talent in world football as was evident in the case of Kaide Gordan who signed for Liverpool this summer from Derby County and was given his first professional contract earlier this week.
