Liverpool have registered an interest in signing Bayern Munich starlet Jamal Musiala should they fail to bring Jude Bellingham to Anfield in the coming transfer windows.
The Borussia Dortmund talent Bellingham, who has long been on the radar of the Merseysiders with Jurgen Klopp keen on his signature, has his future subject to much uncertainty of late with Real Madrid stepping up their approach for the midfielder.
Real’s interest in moving in for Bellingham earlier than the expected timeframe of next summer could mean that Liverpool will be forced to look elsewhere for alternatives as Klopp eyes up reinforcements to freshen his midfield ranks.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg’s recent tweet, the Reds are keeping tabs on Musiala’s situation in the Bayern camp but remain aware that landing the wonderkid would be anything but a free shot.
Musiala turned out for Southampton and Chelsea at the youth level before signing for the Bundesliga giants Bayern where his stellar run of showings in the senior squad have made him a promising name to watch out for in world football.
