Liverpool have reportedly registered an interest in signing Las Palmas starlet Alberto Moleiro who has emerged as one of the brightest talents from Spain.
According to a report from the Spanish news outlet AS, it is claimed that Liverpool have joined the likes of FC Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid in the running to land the signature of the teenager.
A release clause worth around £26 million in Moleiro’s contract could be the lure for Liverpool to move in ahead of the other suitors for the Las Palmas youngster with the competition heating up to secure his services.
It is said that Barcelona were the first to table an offer that was turned down by Las Palmas who are sure to be on the lookout for a sizable asking price to part ways with one of the most promising names in Spanish football.
Jurgen Klopp’s admiration for the player is expected to convince the Liverpool board to keep close tabs on the 19-year-old midfielder with Liverpool’s options in the engine room coming under much criticism in recent times.
