Liverpool Reignite Interest In £50m Spanish Star

Liverpool are heading into the final weeks of the transfer window with little activity so far.

The club’s plans have been delayed by the Copa America and Euro 2024, as well as integrating new manager Arne Slot.

Now, with the tournaments concluded and Slot settling in, Liverpool are expected to become more active in the market.

Despite limited concrete transfer news, recent rumors suggest that Liverpool might be preparing to bring in a new forward.

Takefusa Kubo

One significant name associated with the club is Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo.

Reports suggest that Liverpool is poised to make Kubo the priciest Japanese player ever.

However, according to the Spanish outlet AS Diario, Kubo is not Liverpool’s only target.

The club is also showing keen interest in RB Leipzig winger Dani Olmo.

Olmo’s impressive summer, capped off by winning the Euros with Spain, has heightened his appeal to top clubs.

Liverpool’s good relationship with RB Leipzig could play a crucial role in this potential transfer.

The Reds have previously signed three players from the German club since 2018, spending close to £150 million.

This history of successful transactions suggests that Liverpool have maintained positive relations with Leipzig.

Manchester City and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in Olmo.

Despite his £50 million release clause expiring, Leipzig are open to letting him go, although Olmo is content to stay if necessary.

His performance at the Euros showcased his exceptional talent, with former Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann describing him as “outstanding.”

Olmo, formerly of Dinamo Zagreb, now 26, seems ready to join a top club.

However, whether Liverpool will be his next destination remains uncertain.

Given Liverpool’s interest and their relationship with Leipzig, it’s plausible that they have considered Olmo seriously.

Yet, if Liverpool had a strong desire to sign him, they might have made a move earlier in his career.

The coming weeks will be critical for Liverpool as they aim to strengthen their squad.

Fans are keen to see what decisions the club will make, particularly given the competition from other leading Premier League teams.

While Olmo’s talent is undeniable, it is uncertain whether Liverpool will successfully sign him or if he will join another top club.
