Liverpool reportedly remain interested in signing the highly-rated Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez who has been linked with a move to Anfield in the recent past.
Fernandez emerged on the transfer radar at Liverpool in this summer’s transfer window with the Merseysiders on the search for much-needed reinforcements to freshen an injury stricken midfield roster.
According to a report from the Portuguese news outlet O Jogo ( via The Liverpool Echo), Fernandez is aware of Liverpool’s apparent interest but the player is committed to Benfica for the immediate future.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have been linked with a host of big-name midfield players across the continent with Fernandez joined by the likes of Borussia Dortmund sensation Jude Bellingham on the rumored shortlist for the Reds.
Bellingham is likely to come at a steep price tag considering the England international maestro is being tracked by Europe’s biggest clubs and Dortmund are backed to remain firm on the pricing front when parting ways with one of the hot prospects in world football.
