The Reds are keeping tabs on the highly-rated midfield talent that is Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham but are set to face stiff competition from Chelsea in the race to sign the English wonderkid.
Bellingham has made a name for himself as one of the biggest talents in world football following his last summer’s transfer to Dortmund from Championship outfit Birmingham City.
Whilst flourishing for the German giants and heading into the upcoming summer window reports from Eurosport claim that interest is rampant in the 17-year-old starlet from the Premier League heavyweights Chelsea and Liverpool FC.
Gini Wijnaldum’s far from resolved contract saga at Anfield does bring out the possibility of Jurgen Klopp losing out on his long-serving midfield general and the boss would be keen on bringing a replacement for the Dutchman, one which could come in the form of Bellingham should Dortmund part ways the in-demand midfield prodigy.
A deal worth £100 million is rumoured to be in the works with Dortmund wanting to pocket a sizeable fee to let go of the teenager whose abilities on the pitch seem to only increase with passing time.
