Inter Milan central defender Stefan De Vrij has once again emerged on the transfer radar of the Reds as Jurgen Klopp seeks to add to his defensive options in the summer window.
Having seen his star-studded likes of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip sustain season-ending injury layoffs, the Liverpool FC boss is understood to be on the hunt for further reinforcements ahead of the 2021-22 campaign awaiting the Merseysiders.
Despite adding Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies to the first-team ranks at Anfield, reports from the Express, claim that the 29-year-old De Vrij who has been an influential performer for Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan this season is once again courting interest from Klopp.
Liverpool FC had interestingly failed to lure De Vrij to Anfield in the summer of 2018 as the Holland international instead chose to sign for Inter Milan after calling it quits at fellow Italian outfit Lazio.
However, with his present deal with The Nerazzurri running for another two years, the Reds are in line to make a move for the Dutchman despite Inter Milan wanting to keep their prized defensive asset beyond the upcoming summer.
